About
My name is Chris Bowers, and I started The Christopher Bowers Agency after being in the insurance industry for many years and realizing how outdated this industry truly was. After graduating from the State University of New York at Oneonta I became a NYS licensed insurance broker in commercial P&C and Life, accident & health. I spent the next six years growing my book of business from the ground up and deepening my insurance knowledge every chance I could get.
Along the way, I received my (CPIA) certified professional insurance agent designation from PIA and was named Emerging Young Leader in 2019 by the Ulster County regional chamber of commerce. My community has also played a huge role in my development as a business professional and I love to give back as much as I can. I currently sit on the board of directors for the Ulster County Regional chamber of commerce as well as chair their membership committee.
At The Christopher Bowers Agency, we have a new approach to insurance, and it all starts with the needs of our modern-day clients and partners. Like agencies of the past, we value honesty, integrity and in-depth insurance & risk management knowledge. But, there needed to be a shift in the way we think as insurance brokers if we wanted to keep up with our modern day clients.
At The Christopher Bowers Agency we realize now more than ever our clients need efficient ways to conduct business. We have integrated on-line quoting, e-signature, electronic policies & a client portal to ensure our clients don’t need to worry about printing, scanning or filing another paper policy again. Our motto is “This is a new age of insurance”, and we will strive to serve the modern day client.
